ONE-PAGE PITCH

TITLE: Ms Axel is a Goon

GENRE: Action, comedy, sci-fi, family

LOGLINE: In the humid city of Dasmus, Mei Axel is a former goon who's just escaped captivity. Since her escape, she's been trying to better her life with her new found passion for music, but she quickly learns that the entire country wants to trade her name and face for a price.

FORMAT: Full-length animated film

Rebranding?

I'm putting my writing on here, now! But, I'll still keep my writing notes, as well as add in some more in the future, since trying to teach is another way to enhance my learning. Anyways, I'll be formatting my written works similarly to my comics blog. Aaand, that's all I want to say, really. Yeah.

Fight/Action Scenes: Three-act Structure

I've written a couple fight/action scenes before, but I was never really proud of them. They all seemed messy and allover the place, and I couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't until when I was in one of my classes and my professor mentioned that three-act structure can also be applied to fight scenes, too, that made me realise what was missing in my writing.

Figuring out character voice

I’ve figured out a way to describe character voice when I remembered that Nintendo 3DS game, Tomodachi Life. When you create a character in the game, there are certain elements you can make adjustments to that make up the voice in the voice settings. 

The adjustable voice elements include: pitch, speed, quality, tone, accent, and intonation.

Organising thoughts for worldbuilding and related with blog sites

Recently, I've decided to create a blog for organising my thoughts for worldbuilding, lore, theory, and other stuff for one of the universes I have in mind. I've done this so that I've got something to refer to while I'm writing and check for inconsistencies relating to the world that I've made up. 

Character Personality: Summaries coming in threes

Here's something I've done since about 2019 when writing character personalities, which is limiting traits n' stuff to three for each section.

I got that idea from when I was playing The Sims and found out you can get a whole lot of defining personalities with limits. Limits really do get you thinking a lot more, too.

My take on writing unenjoyable characters...

Couple times I've written characters that made me go all like "something doesn't feel right," and it turns out I'm just not really enjoying writing them. 

Stuff like this doesn't just happen to side-characters - main protagonists and antagonists are at risk of this, too. 

And I heard, I forgot where though, that if a character you're writing seems bland and unenjoyable to you, chances are the majority of the audience are probably going to feel the same way.
